The Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express is great because you can earn up to six percent back on certain items. In addition, there are no rotating rewards categories that change every quarter, making it extremely easy for anyone to use this card properly. You don’t have to keep track of anything either since everything gets automatically added to your account.
The only thing the customer has to do is make sure they pay their balance off in full each month, so there are no interest fees tacked onto their purchases. This will help save money and allow them to see what kind of returns they’re getting with the reward program!
Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express works like most other cash-back cards where they reward you for spending money in specific areas of interest. How do I apply for a card?
You can apply by phone or online through their website (American Express) at americanexpress.com. There is also an option to get in touch with them via Twitter (@AskAmex). Compose your question, and they will be able to help you out! It’s quick, easy, and convenient when it comes down to getting the information you need about this credit card program from American Express!
Who is eligible to apply for this card?
Anyone 18 years of age or older and has a good credit score (660+) can apply for this card. Also, anyone who has experienced problems with other cards is encouraged to look into Blue Cash Preferred Credit Card Program offered by AMEX because it may help them recover from a bad credit score.
Why should I get this card?
This card offers you outstanding rewards for your spending. You will get 12% cash-back at U.S. gas stations, one of the best rates available among other American Express cards. This card also gives a $100 bonus statement credit after the first purchase within three months from account opening, and it has no annual fee!
This is a great card for people who spend quite often since there are so many benefits to be had. Pairing this card with a high flat-rate cash-back reward card could make it an even better choice. The Citi Double Cash card, for instance, pays an unlimited 1% cash-back when you buy and then an additional 1% when you pay for those purchases. That’s essentially 2% cash-back on all purchases, making this card a good option when paying for everything else.
This card also doesn’t have any rotating rewards categories that change every quarter, making it extremely easy for anyone to use it properly without worrying about keeping up with different rules depending on what month you’re in or how much time has passed. So charge away and let them do all the work! The only thing the customer has to do is make sure they pay their balance off in full each month, so there are no interest fees on their credit.
But no matter which one you go with, I’m sure it will be a great choice. You’ll have to pay a foreign transaction fee on international purchases, so it’s not a great choice when you’re traveling abroad. Who is this card good for? This card is suitable for any individual who’s looking for maximum returns on their everyday purchases.

How do I get the bonus?
To take advantage of the bonus categories on this card, you have to at least spend a thousand dollars or more within your first three months of Card Membership, and you will receive one hundred forty dollars statement credit. The same applies to Blue Cash Everyday® from American Express as well – spend a thousand dollars or more within your first three months of Card Membership.
Take note that there is an annual fee for this card which is fifty-nine dollars, so keep in mind you will be paying it too if you want to enjoy these benefits and rewards! Many people apply for this credit card early on because they can receive a cashback bonus without spending much money at all but still enjoy good returns throughout their financial needs!
When discussing “cash back” regarding credit cards, most people think of either a one percent rebate on everything they purchase (the standard) or a five percent rebate on specific categories of purchases. But with the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express, you can have both! Cash Back is received in the form of Reward Dollars that can be redeemed as a statement credit.
You will receive six percent cash back at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6000 spending per year) & three percent cash back at U.S. gas stations and department stores – all within your first twelve months. After that, it reverts to one point five percent flat rate for supermarket purchases only but still allows you bonus cash for making gas station or department store purchases!
What are the cons of using this card?
This card has a high APR, which means that if you carry any balance on your account from month to month, the finance charges can add up quickly. In addition, this credit card is not accepted everywhere – even though it’s branded with Visa and MasterCard logos- because American Express isn’t widely recognized for its retail acceptance.
There is also a $6,000 spending cap on the supermarket bonus category, which may not work for those with large grocery budgets. You’ll have to pay foreign transaction fees on international purchases, so it’s not a great choice when you’re traveling abroad.
The biggest downside to this card is the annual fee. The Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express has an introductory APR of zero percent for twelve months, after which it reverts to a standard variable rate of 13.99% – 26.58%(V) based on your creditworthiness. This means that you will have to be prepared with a plan to pay off your balance in full each month if you don’t want the finance charges adding up!
How do I get approved?
When it comes down to being qualified for this credit card, many factors come into play. If you’re looking at applying online, make sure that you have a history of on-time payments, no bankruptcies or charges offs and good credit. If you’re looking at using in person, make sure that your income is high enough to support paying the bills each month!
The Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express does its best to look for responsible borrowers who can pay their bills on time and in full each month with a good credit history. However, it’s important to only apply for the card you need – not all cards from American Express are accepted everywhere, so make sure it matches your lifestyle!
